Crescent Wealth is proud to announce the appointment of internationally experienced investment professional Mas Harris as Head of Investments, Crescent Group as we double down on strengthening our investment capabilities and sustained investment performance. Crescent Group includes Crescent Wealth, Crescent Finance, Crescent Foundation, Crescent Institute and Crescent Think Tank.
Despite challenging turbulence in global markets, the Crescent Wealth Growth Option realised an excellent investment return of 15.4% for the Financial Year ending 30 June 2021. As we continue to build on our investment capabilities, we are appointing experienced professionals to achieve the best outcomes for our members and sustain our leading investment performance.
Mas is a highly skilled investment specialist with over 20 years of experience in the Funds Management industry both here in Australia and overseas. Mas’s diverse experience includes time with AMP and Royal SunAlliance in Australia and Barclays in the UK. Mas also spent an extensive period in Asia launching Islamic investment products for retail and wholesale distribution in Malaysia, the major global hub for Islamic finance.
Being deeply involved in Islamic investments for over 15 years, he has experienced and been involved in the rapid growth of this industry globally, bringing valuable and extensive experience to the Crescent Group.
Mas specialises in the development and management of Islamic investment products with an in-depth knowledge of this unique and rapidly growing sector. He has a keen interest in expanding and developing this specialist area further to provide increased investment opportunities to Muslims who wish to invest in accordance with principles aligned with their faith.
Mas holds a Bachelor of Business in Accounting from the University of Technology, Sydney and is also a Chartered Accountant and member of the CA ANZ.

Talal currently serves as a Non-Executive Director on the Whitlam Institute and Western Sydney University Foundation Council Board. He also serves as Chairman of First Quay Capital and Chairman of the Australian Arab Dialogue. Talal has also served on the Australia Post, Board of Sydney Ports, Macquarie University and the Western Sydney Area Health Service and the Chairman of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade; Council of Australia Arab Relations. In an executive capacity, Talal spent 10 years at PwC as a director and strategist, and at investment firm Babcock & Brown in the Corporate Finance Group and later in the Technical Real Estate Division. Later Talal held leadership positions in Better Place Australia, Platinum Hearing and Star Transport Australia.
